Online Counselling
Online counselling is a convenient and effective way to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space. It can offer the same level of thought, care, and professional attention as face to face counselling, while giving you greater flexibility around work, travel, family life, and location.Sessions are held by secure video or telephone. You will need a quiet and private place where you feel able to speak freely, without being overheard or interrupted. Many people find that being in their own familiar environment makes it easier to begin talking, especially if they feel anxious about attending counselling in person.
Online counselling can be suitable for people with busy schedules, those who travel frequently, people who live outside Berkhamsted, and those who prefer not to attend in person. It can also be helpful if you want continuity of support but are unable to commit to regular face to face appointments.
The work itself is much the same as in person counselling. We meet at an agreed time, usually for 50 minutes, and use the session to explore what is troubling you, what patterns may be emerging, and what you may want to understand or change. This might include anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, work pressure, confidence, or a period of life transition.
Online counselling is not a less serious form of therapy. It still requires privacy, commitment, and regular attendance. For many clients, it becomes a practical and reliable way to create space for reflection in the middle of a demanding life. You are welcome to arrange a free 15 minute initial call to discuss what you are looking for and whether online counselling feels like the right fit.
